Initial Consultation

I will firstly need to view and inspect your existing garden with
you, listening to any ideas you may have for the space you wish
to enhance. We will need to discuss what you intend to use your
garden for. You may wish to have an area for entertaining guests,
a comfortable seating and dining area for those barbecues on warm
summer evenings.
Perhaps an area for the kids to play is needed, a durable lawn,
a safe recreation area, maybe with a playhouse. Whatever your
requirements, you will almost certainly want a beautiful view
from the house, enticing you and visitors alike to explore, as
your garden changes with the seasons.
Once I have an idea of your needs within the space available,
we can then start to look at materials and styling. This we can
do with the aid of my brochure, together with related magazines
and books. I will make notes of the likes and dislikes that you
point out, as we begin to come to an understanding of what you
are looking for. |

Ideas can be relayed through a series of basic thumbnail sketches.
These ideas of course will have to be achievable within your budget
and we will need to establish how much you are able and willing
to spend on the project at hand.
Design
Ideas and Presentation
When
I have made a detailed analysis of the site, we can then make
a date for my return. This is when I will present you with the
design ideas I have been working on. From these we can arrive
at a good practical design for your new garden.
I can then estimate the costs and make detailed drawings. Shortly
I will be able to present you with a quote for the construction.
You will only incur a fee for my garden design if I am commissioned
to do the work, or if another party uses my design for construction
of your garden.
